7SØSFJ Lightship Finngrundet
We are working with the special call 7SØSFJ in the International Lightship/Lighthouse weekend (ILLW no. SE-0013) by operators from the radio club SKØQO.
The Lightship No. 25 FINNGRUNDET (previously with the radio callsign "SFJ."
She was built in 1903 by the Gefle Works and was in service until 1969. Since 1970 she lies anchored outside the Vasamuseet, alongside the ice breaker Sankt Erik (launched March 15 1915). From July 2003 with the callsign 8SØHRA) at Djurgården in Stockholm and serves as a museum ship.
Finngrundet still twinkling her recognition signal: two consecutive flashes every 20 seconds.
